The Fat Hen is one of my favorite brunch spots in Seattle. My friend and I came to The Fat Hen on a Saturday morning, and we got seated almost immediately because someone canceled their reservation. We were told initially that the wait would be almost 2 hours long and almost left for something else. We got lucky! My friend ordered the Shakshuka and I ordered the Camicia skillet (egg, tomato sauce, mozzarella, ricotta, basil). My skillet was very cheesy, hearty, and rich in flavor. Both skillets came with a decent amount of toasted baguette. We both got latte as well, which was nothing special but good. Since it is located in a more residential neighborhood, parking is fairly easy. I'd definitely come back!

The BEST brunch in Seattle! A must if you're in Seattle! I have ordered the Shakshuka twice and every single time it is amazing! My partner tried the Camicia and it was as delicious if not better. They had a iced strawberry matcha latte special and tried that, so good. We have gotten lucky with no reservations but it is a small area. Overall love The Fat Hen and would recommend to anyone in Seattle!

One of my all-time favorite brunch spots in Seattle. A little cafe located within a quiet neighborhood. The roads are a bit crowded, but you're bound to find street parking around the area. We ordered: Shakshuka - Hearty, savory, and so comforting. The aroma is inviting with its earthy spices and simmered tomato freshness. I would eat this everyday if I could. Alla Boscaiola - Cheesy and divinely rich. If you want something more meatier this would be a better alternative to the original shakshuka. Ricotta Toast (seasonal) - Loved the date and ricotta presentation. Its sweet profile provided a good balance w/ the shakshuka savoriness. Though a small hidden cafe, this place gets awfully busy. Reservations are a must unless you're okay with waiting 20 - 45mins. Cannot recommend this place enough!

The Fat Hen is a super small breakfast cafe that hits the spot when looking for a great brunch spot. I got the salmon toast and my gal friend got the Benedict which came with a salad. A fuller meal is the Benedict tbh and what I would have ordered. The seating is so few, so you should expect a wait on weekends! Parking around the neighborhood can be hard but everyone can use a good walk!

Definitely the BEST traditional brunch spot I've had in Seattle - they deserve their spot on the top 100 brunch spots of Yelp! Super cute, small cafe with 7 tables indoors and 2 outdoors and full tables even on a Thursday at noon. Definitely come on a weekday with a reservation if you can! The Alla Boscaiola was delicious and cheesy; the Eggs Benedict with Pancetta was the best benedict I've had in Seattle! Highly recommend their smashed potatoes as well. Service was friendly and gratuity of 20% is automatically added. Check their special board on the wall - they had a crab benedict up today that I didn't notice until too late. It's in a neighborhood where you'll need to find residential street parking, which I would assume to be difficult on the weekends.

Cute lil cafe situated in a cozy neighborhood! We came for a late lunch, around 1:30 PM on a Sunday afternoon, and the place was still pretty busy. Service was quick though, and everyone was friendly. I ordered the iced mocha, which I thought was only okay. This is really picky, but I didn't like the ice shapes in the mocha LOL. They're too clunky, and took up so much space in my little cup that the drink ended up being really watered down. My boyfriend got the lavender earl grey tea, which he also thought was only okay. The lavender sprinkled at the top was really bitter, and kept getting in the way. We were recommended the shakshuka and the smash burger. The shakshuka was DELICIOUS! The tomato sauce was perfectly spiced and well balanced. The eggs were slightly overcooked though, I think they had been sitting in the pan for too long before they were brought to our table. The smash burger was okay. I loved the potatoes it came with, but I thought the burger itself was too salty. Overall, I'd definitely be back and order the shakshuka for myself next time!

The Shakshuka was the best! It was my first time trying this dish ever, and the tomatoes were so fresh and the bread was toasted just right. The eggs were also nicely poached. I also shared a mimosa with a friend, but that was pretty standard. I came in not having made a reservation, but we were lucky that we came in past noon on a weekday, so it wasn't too busy. We only needed to wait 10minutes to be seated, but I've heard wait times can be extremely long if you come on the weekend without a reservation. The place itself is fairly small, so they typically recommend reservations in advance. I'd love to come to this spot for brunch again!

One of my go-to brunch spots in Seattle. A place that I always take my friends who come to visit. You have to make a reservation if you want to guarantee that you will get to sit down and eat at the Fat Hen. It is a cute tiny restaurant in a residential neighborhood. You wouldn't expect a restaurant to be there but it is very cute and quaint. The servers and host are very sweet and they are very accommodating. The foods and drinks come out very quickly. I highly recommend the Shakshuka if its your first time at the Fat Hen. It is an iconic dish that is a MUST TRY. The Shaksuka is very flavorful with the eggs. It is a perfect brunch dish paired with a hot latte.

Had breakfast at this cozy restaurant. Got there just before 8 am since they only have about a dozen tables for small parties. Service and food are great. Price points for the portions were good. This will be a place we will definitely come back to!
